The artist
Kyiv blue,
Lisbon light
Sasha is a Ukrainian artist living in Lisbon. She paints with alcohol ink — a medium that refuses to be drawn in a straight line — and teaches the way she works: a light hand, good music, no pressure to get it right.

The practice
A medium that does what it wants

- 01
Pigment
Kamenskaya inks and metallic accents, poured straight from the bottle. No brushes, no underdrawing.
- 02
Movement
Air, tilt and a heat gun decide where the colour goes. Sasha guides it, then gets out of the way.
- 03
Finish
Gold leaf, hand lettering, and a frame cut and finished in Lisbon before the piece leaves the studio.

How it happened
Four moments, one table
- 2022
From Kyiv to Lisbon
The first paintings were made on the kitchen table in Lisbon, with three bottles of ink and no plan. What started as a way to keep busy became a practice.
- 2022
The first workshop
A Saturday morning, six people, one long table at Rua José Travassos. Most of them had never touched ink before, and all of them left with something they liked.
- 2023
Commissions & names
Hand-lettered names painted over ink — weddings, births, house numbers. The pieces people ask for most are the ones carrying a word that matters to them.
- Now
Two addresses
Saturdays in the Baixa, selected Sundays in Cascais, and commissions shipped framed across Portugal and Europe.
